"Wake up, Christians of Tennessee. Islam is at your gate. Do not make the mistake which Europe made. Do not allow Islam to gain a foothold here. Islam is dangerous. Islam wants to establish a state on earth, ruled by Islamic sharia law. Islam aims for the submission, whether by persuasion, intimidation or violence, of all non-Muslims, including Christians." (Geert Wilders, Elected Member of the House of Representatives in the Netherlands: "A Warning to America" – speech given at Cornerstone Church, Nashville, Tennessee on May 12, 2011)

July 26, 2011

Dear Friend,

It was my pleasure and privilege to have met you at our July 16, 2011 seminar at St. Patrick’s Anglican Church in Smyrna, Tennessee. I was humbled by the warm and gracious welcome we experienced during Saturday’s seminar.

I also had the opportunity, during Saturday’s seminar, to listen to a number of you voice your legitimate concerns regarding the current encroachment which is taking place in your own backyard (literally!), as Islam surges on in its quest to impose sharia law and its totalitarian ideology upon our nation and upon every aspect of our lives, society, and values.

Let me state that I also share your worries and concerns. At the same time, I also must stress the point that we must address these concerns with a different perspective in mind. A perspective which is neither derived from nor is motivated by fear and which precludes fear. In short, I am referring to a Biblical perspective.

I find commonality with Mr. Wilders’ assessment of Islam and the dangers which Islamic ideology poses not only to Western civilization, but to the world at large. Islam is, and always has been, a militaristic, totalitarian ideology masquerading as a religion. Islam is (as Mr. Wilders and a number of courageous others have dared to expose), an imperialistic and expansionary ideology which seeks to subjugate, dominate, or eliminate every other religion, system of belief or philosophy, or manner of governance, until Islamic sharia law and the Islamic caliphate rules supreme. In the words of Islam’s so-called prophet, "I have been commanded to fight against all people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah…

I also find commonality with Mr. Wilders’ assessment that we, as citizens of this great nation must fight, at every level and at every instance, against the plagues of cultural relativism and political correctness which so many of America’s political, academic, cultural, and media "elites" have succumbed to.

Yet, while as a concerned American citizen I respect and agree with Mr. Wilders’ (and perhaps your own) concerns in this matter, as a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ I exhort you to consider the fact that we also must respect, and agree with, the Biblical mandate to reach out in love even to those who are enemies of the Cross, while upholding and defending the historical Christian message.

As such, this has been from its inception, the two-fold vision of the Islam Exposed Project:

1. To educate and enable the Body of Christ to engage Muslims with the transforming love of Jesus Christ so that they will "know the truth that will set them free" (i.e., John 8:32), and,

2. To equip the Body of Christ to effectively declare and defend the historic Christian message and not "be destroyed from lack of knowledge" (i.e., Hosea 4:6) at the hands of those who promote a heretical, syncretistic contextualization of the Bible and errant views of Jesus Christ.

With God’s guidance and grace, we shall endeavor to educate, enable, and equip the Body of Christ (and the public at large) not only through our seminars but, more importantly, through the creation of documentary films and other educational materials delivering a greater and far-reaching impact to many across the globe. (Our first documentary, Women in Islam, has already been shown to millions worldwide via satellite TV, including countries such as Afghanistan, Iran, Tajikistan, and others. It has also been used by a ministry to Muslims in the UK.)

In order to fulfill this vision, however, we will require resources (both spiritual and financial) which are beyond our own mere capabilities.

As such, I am asking you to pray earnestly for us and the Islam Exposed Project’s task at hand. I am also asking you to prayerfully consider helping us financially to carry on with this timely and most urgent work. Whether as an "ongoing partner," an "occasional supporter," or a "one-time giver," any and all contributions are much needed and appreciated.

May God richly bless you,

Frank de la Cruz
