Who We Are
We are a new Church
formed to preserve and proclaim the apostolic faith. Members of the
Convocation of Anglicans in North America (CANA), we are part of the 77
million member worldwide Anglican Communion. We declare the Holy
Scriptures to be the Word of God, confess the ancient creeds of the
undivided Church and commit our lives to love, worship and obey Jesus
Christ as Lord and Savior. Come worship with us and discover an ancient
faith for modern times.
Good News Is No News in
Nnewi!
by the Rt. Rev'd Martyn Minns
A funny thing happened in Nnewi, Nigeria,
last week. (Nnewi is a bustling city in southeast Nigeria.) Archbishop Peter
Akinola presided over a remarkable meeting of the Standing Committee of the
Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion), but nobody from the world media noticed.
It wasn't that it was a closed or secret
meeting it's hard to keep a gathering of a
thousand church leaders quiet, and preparations had been public for
months.
So why didn't any of them care? For one thing, he didn't talk about anything that would make a good
headline; instead he focused on a call to personal and corporate holiness. He
told all those present that they were too attached to the ways of the world and
they needed to change. He reminded them that they have been called to live in
the world but not of the world. Nobody blinked when he challenged his listeners
to look inward and deal with their own sin instead of looking at everyone else.
But it didn't make news.

St. Patrick's Exceptional Easter....Pictures from St. Patrick's Easter Celebration....
St. Patrick's New Land
Alleluia.
St. Patrick’s has taken the first step towards a permanent
presence in Rutherford County. This week we closed on 7 ½ acres
of the most beautiful farm land on Baker Road. Beyond being beautiful
property it has a nice home on it that will function as a ministry
center with offices and classrooms, and since it has a kitchen, will be
also used for various fellowship events.

Letters from the Wilderness #13
by Fr. Kasch
Like you, I receive all kinds of jokes and rumors and corny stories in
my email on a regular basis. I especially don’t like the ones that are
made to tug on your heart strings but are as genuine as a can of
Spam. However I received this one recently and it got my attention
and started my wheels spinning. As soon as you see it you will
understand how easily the principle taught in this touching story can
be translated into how we welcome people to our parish and to
personal evangelism.
